Use this checklist before you call your insurance company or continue a hurricane damage claim.
Document damage first
- Take clear photos and videos before cleanup.
- Photograph roof, ceilings, walls, flooring, windows, doors, fence, garage, and exterior structures.
- Do not throw away damaged items until documented when safe.
- Write down the date and approximate time damage was discovered.
Save money records
